Through the use of a case narrative,
this article demonstrates the complexity of palliative care as it relates to
the pain management of bone metastasis at end of life from both the
pharmacological and psychosocial perspectives. Treatment interventions for pain
in each of these domains is explored, illustrating that metastatic bone pain at
end of life is a multifaceted experience that requires a multimodal
approach to care.
